The turning gears in the motor will grab the nylon gears\u003cbr\u003e\nat the bottom of the antenna and feed it back in.  DO NOT bend or\u003cbr\u003e\nbreak the antenna mast at all. One little 'kink' in it\u003cbr\u003e\nwill make it inoperable.
